About
First things first…Thank you for visiting ArthriticJoints.com! We are excited to have you!
Second…What is ArthriticJoints.com?
In this blog, I will post about anything and everything related to arthritis.
Who blogs here?
Hello all! Michelle Anderson here. I am a thirty-something arthritic and have had the disease for just about as long. Born with extreme stiffness in one finger and finally diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) in multiple joints while in elementary school, I have seen many doctors, been through many tests, physical and occupational therapies, worn my fair share of splints and orthotics, participated in a clinical trial for the new “it” drug in the 1980’s (gold), have had a total ankle replacement and subsequent modification to that ankle replacement, have been on disability due to my arthritis and no longer work in my original profession due to my arthritis. Let’s just say, I have seen quite a bit and would like to share my experiences and suggestions so others can benefit.
I started ArthriticJoints.com as a way to share my passion and knowledge regarding arthritis and arthritis awareness. As we all know, arthritis is a serious disease and it can hit you when you least expect it. I believe that we should share our experiences and tips for getting through the day, offer each other support and help promote the seriousness of this disease by raising awareness.
I am in no way a medical professional. Any views expressed in this blog are my own personal thoughts or recommendations. Obviously, you will need to consult your doctor for any changes, improvements, etc. to your medical regimen.
Here’s hoping for a pain-free day!
