Arthritis Awareness Travel Mug

I use this travel mug everyday! This steel-lined travel mug holds 14oz and keeps hot beverages warm for about two hours.
This arthritis travel mug has a large handle to accommodate swollen fingers and the lid goes on/off easily. To put the lid on, simply push the lid down on the travel mug. To remove it, simply pull off at an angle to ease the strain on fingers. I find that it’s much easier than screw on lids or thumb-tab lids.
Use for coffee, tea or your favorite beverage. Although this is a travel mug, I find that it is great to use in the home since it keeps hot beverages warm longer than a standard coffee mug.
Promote Arthritis Awareness while drinking your favorite beverage!
This Arthritis Awareness Travel Mug can be purchased in our new eBay store.

I love this tote bag! This large tote bag measures 17 1/2″ wide by 14″ tall. Pack it full of your necessary items and know that they will not fall out! It has a zip closure with a zipper pull for arthritic hands.
I use this tote all the time! Take it with you to your doctor appointments (with plenty of reading material, of course), to meetings, arthritis expo’s, to the beach, birthday parties, sporting events/practices, trade shows…anywhere you need to carry items. The best part is that you are promoting arthritis awareness while you use it!

May is almost over and that means the National Arthritis Awareness month is coming to a close soon. With only a few days left, there is still time to support Arthritis Awareness month.
There are so many ways you can show your support. In addition to what we have talked about previously, you can show your support for Arthritis Awareness with this travel mug.
The 14 ounce travel mug is primarily royal blue with an “Arthritis Awareness” imprint and awareness ribbon on the front and back side of the mug. The double-wall insulated mug has a stainless steel lining and a black plastic push on lid with a sliding spill protector. The exterior of the travel mug features an opaque plastic outer shell and an easy-grip handle.
From personal experience, I can tell you that hot beverages stay warm for about two hours in this insulated mug. I can also tell you that the oversized easy grip handle makes it easy for swollen arthritic fingers to hold on to. I use it everyday and love it!
This travel mug is an easy way to show your support for Arthritis Awareness. You can share your arthritis stories with people when they comment on your mug or encourage them to write their Congressman to support the Arthritis Prevention Control and Cure Act. You may just find that arthritis affects more people around you than you thought.
Get yours on eBay now! The travel mug is on sale through May 31, 2009.

How Are You Promoting Arthritis Awareness This Month?

More than 46 million Americans have some form of arthritis. Many people do not know how arthritis affects the individuals who have it, their families and friends, their coworkers, their finances, their health insurance premiums, their quality of life, etc.
What are you doing to promote awareness of this disease that is the leading cause of disability? This disease that affects more than 300,000 children in the United States? The toll of arthritis is rising. We should be educating others about it.
Since May is Arthritis Awareness month, this is the perfect time to help promote this debilitating disease that has no cure.
Here are some suggestions on what you can do:
- share your story with someone
- write a letter to your Congressional representative about how arthritis affects you or someone in your family
- write a letter to your Congressional representative supporting the Arthritis Prevention Control & Cure Act
- ask others to write their Congressional representatives
- send in an editorial to your local newspaper
- participate in or volunteer at a local Arthritis Foundation Arthritis Walk
- proudly display your Arthritis Awareness items
- register to be an Arthritis Advocate with the Arthritis Foundation
There are many ways to show your support. Just choose what suits you best and let us know how you promote Arthritis Awareness!
Will You Be Walking for Arthritis in May?
April 13, 2009 by Michelle
It is just about mid-April which means May is just around the corner. You know what that means…The Arthritis Foundation Arthritis Walk is soon approaching.
The Arthritis Walk is typically held in May, which is Arthritis Awareness month. The event is held in various cities and is a way for people with arthritis to meet and know that they are not alone. It is also a terrific way to get more information from the Arthritis Foundation and meet arthritis-related vendors.
If you are physically not able to participate in the walk, that is okay. There are still ways for you to show your support. You can cheer for those that do walk or even run. You can volunteer at the walk or even make a donation to the Arthritis Foundation in honor of yourself or someone with arthritis.
Don’t forget dogs are welcome too! They also get arthritis and suffer just like we do. If your pooch has arthritis and is not physically able to participate in the walk, consider pulling your dog in a wagon. Children with arthritis are astonished to learn that dogs can get arthritis too. Your pooch may just make several new friends.
If you will be attending the Arthritis Walk in Lexington, KY on May 9, 2009, consider joining Team ArthriticJoints.com. I would love to walk with you and hear your stories. As a bonus, for every ArthriticJoints.com team member that raises at least $25, you will receive your choice of a free Arthritis Awareness magnet or lapel pin.
If you are already on a team, then just stop by the Advocacy tent to say hello. I will be volunteering there until the walk starts and would love to talk to you.
Good luck to all!
